TUPE Regulations & Transition Planning
The transfer of Undertakings (Protection of employment) Regulations of 2006 (TUPE) safeguards the rights of employees where business ownership of service contracts change hands.
It is important that these rights are protected, & that the transition from previous employer is handled in a professional manner.
NSL have handled many such transfers, & we consult with every employee considering a transfer. This provides them with the opportunity to assess their options, & make an informed decision regarding their future employment.
TUPE also allows NSL as a potential future employer to assess each individual in terms of their suitability to the role for which they are employed & to apply a suitable training schedule if required, to improve their skills.
Every effort is made to ensure a smooth transition when service contracts change hands, & successful contact commencement is essential to NSL gaining the trust, confidence & respect of each & every new customer.
Specific measures are implemented in order to develop a transition plan that enables us to meet the demands of the customer & that of new personnel.
A typical programme would include:
- An in depth review of the protected premises to determine exact requirements.
- Selective recruitment policy
- Testing of security officer knowledge
- Assessment of training requirements
- The development of detailed officer instruction manuals
- Health & Safety assessment
Each & every transition plan is designed around our customers specific requirements, & implemented in a professional manner within an agreed time frame.
