Northern Security Ltd. holds SIA approved contractor status for the provision of Security Guarding & Keyholding services.

The implementation of bespoke Service Level Agreements and adherence to quality management procedures in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001:2000 help NSL to maintain superior levels of service.

Regular audits by the NSI (National Security Inspectorate) ensure that high standards are continually maintained. In addition to our quality managment systems we hold the Investors in People Award.

Our dedicated management team are focused on day to day customer service and regular review meetings are held with the customer to guarantee contractual obligations.

SIA (Security Industry Authority) Licensing

Recent legislation has dictated that anyone working within the security industry as a security guard, a mobile patrol officer, or a key holding & alarm response driver must have received additional training, & be holders of a valid S.I.A license The purpose of the license (which is a personal accreditation to each individual security guard), is to maintain high standards, & improve working conditions within the manned guarding industry. Failure to employ suitably qualified personnel could result in prosecution for both security contractors & their customers.

As an SIA approved contractor our customers can be certain that all NSL Staff are fully trained, & comply with current industry legislation

SIA Approved Contractors Scheme

Northern Security Ltd is one of the first companies in the UK to be granted SIA Approved contractor Status. We have attained this due to our extremely rigorous vetting, training, & quality assurance regime.

Due to superior procedures within our organisation, (making it easier for the SIA to approve & vet our staff) The SIA have granted Northern Security Ltd the facility to issue license dispensation notices, which means that our applicants can be appointed to site whilst licensing is carried out, (subject to initial rigorous screening, & full security officer training).
